october notes
Greetings from the heart of New York City where I've been assembling all your lovely parcels with care this week, while we await the first of the autumn storms. Amidst unstable weather meteorologically and beyond, I'm so grateful to be able to continue sharing a little bit of beauty with you here. The time of warm baths, hot tea & lit candles has arrived here in the northern hemisphere. I hope you'll find a small moment of rest for yourself in the middle of it all. Sending lots of warmth and care your way!

My body needs it— the hot baths, the care, the soft water, the perfume, the warmth. I take on the colors of the flowers, the bloom, the delicacy. It becomes me.

The garden beds are full of seedheads as autumn approaches. This year, more than ever, I’ve been feeling called to collect and organize them in an intentional way. I’d love to do even more winter sowing this season with hopes of sharing more native plants with our garden community next year. Below, the seeds of the swamp milkweed (Asclepias incarnata), the rattlesnake master (Eryngium yuccifolium), the hairy white oldfield aster and the aromatic aster, alongside the last of the blooms and the ripening rosehips.
Until next time,
I've always adored September in New York and these past few weeks have graced us with exquisite weather and a bustling energetic shift. Truly a marvel.
