september glow
I've always adored September in New York and these past few weeks have graced us with exquisite weather and a bustling energetic shift. Truly a marvel. We took a little time to put the garden in order after a few weeks of under-supervised overgrowth, and my late summer favorites are all in bloom in our native plant beds. I've squirreled away the first saved seeds of the season, too.
In the shop, our rose & tulsi facial tonic mist and summer cold-brew tea blend are both ON SALE, a new monthly subscriber exclusive discount debuts (our dusk tisane, subscribe to our newsletter for the code), and a bit of gorgeous fresh vintage has landed, including perfume compacts, tea strainers and our lovely beeswax candle + coaster sets! I'm also thrilled to swap out our heavy glass tea jars for lighter biodegradable paper canisters, And as the humidity fades from the air here, I find myself turning to our butters and balms for nourishment, I've been pouring lots of these this month!
Many of us are settling back into our routines during this moment of the year, and I find myself returning to my evening rituals and winding down the day earlier. Perhaps you're doing the same. Our Lavender & Hinoki Pillow Mist and Bathing Salts are lovely formulas to support a restful & restorative evening.
The past few weeks have been very full, I'm so grateful for your kind patience while some things have taken a little longer than usual to ship. It's still just me here, making everything by hand, with care, for you.
Hope you've been able to find a contemplative moment of balance around the equinox and wishing you a beautiful season ahead!

The goldenrods and asters light up the garden as summer fades. And I’ve begun collecting seeds from our native plants, first up is the Penstemon smallii, a lovely perennial with pinkish purple flowers that open in late spring.
And a relatively new habit that’s become a ritual over the last few years, visiting the gardens at the Cloisters. This late summer visit revealed the most glorious roses and lilies, alongside many other seasonal treasures, including the exquisite Astrantia, below. If you haven’t been in awhile, I hope you’ll visit soon. It truly provides a moment of sanctuary so deeply needed in these times.
Until next time,
Besides the Autumn poets sing,
A few prosaic days
A little this side of the snow
And that side of the Haze -
