Our very first loose tea blend, created to be simmered in the style of a traditional chai, this tea is inspired by my dreamy little hideaway on Rivington Street with the bathtub in the kitchen. The mysterious and the familiar come together: the rhythm of the street below, history, memory, nostalgia & spice. An inspiring elixir!

A rich, organic Assam black tea forms the base of our house blend, while organic cardamom & rose petals lend a spicy, floral note. Organic ceylon cinnamon, organic pink peppercorns, organic ginger and South Indian vanilla beans round off a melange that is as lovely to look at as to drink. Slowing down enough to brew up a cup of this loose-leaf infusion will soothe the spirit.

4 oz water + 4 oz milk

simmer 5 minutes + sweeten

Botanical scent tends to last longer on well moisturized skin, so pairing and layering a botanical perfume with its complimentary nourishing butter is the perfect way to extend the life of your scent, while also ensuring that skin stays hydrated, particularly going into the cooler months ahead here in the northern hemisphere.

This pairing features our botanical perfume ‘the rains’ & our cardamom butter.

By turns richly resinous and brightly spicy, cardamom curls through every layer of this delicious pairing. It mingles with precious Mitti attar, the manifestation, in essence form, of the magical scent of dry earth just after a rainstorm. With base notes of earthy fossilized amber, warm sandalwood and a touch of rich vanilla, this combination manages to both ground and transport, making it seem possible to feel at home wherever you are. 

The set makes a lovely gift, and comes wrapped beautifully in a linen drawstring bag.

Organic, fairly-traded green tea leaves scented with fresh jasmine blossoms from Hubei, China form the fragrant base of this green tea blend, meant to be simmered like a traditional chai, while organic cardamom, ginger and black pepper add warmth and spice. Organic vanilla and nutmeg bring a sweet roundness to the blend, and ambrosia-scented (and locally grown) tulsi nurtures and enlivens.
