A botanical scent formulated with only three exquisite essences, cardamom absolute, mitti attar and a rare distillation of fossilized amber, each richly complex in its own right. Mitti attar is still made in the traditional manner in Kannauj, India, where earthen clay is distilled into precious Sandalwood oil to honor the return of the rainy season. A gentle curtain of spice gives way to the rich scent of dry earth after a rain, and the primordial minerality of fossilized amber.
All Marble & Milkweed scents are made entirely from precious natural botanical oils, resins, concretes and absolutes, no synthetics are used. Our fragrances are earthy and spicy; they bloom and evolve upon contact with the warmth of the skin. The base of organic jojoba oil in our perfume serum and balm feels like nectar and nourishes the skin wherever it is worn. A base of organic grape alcohol is used in our perfume extraits, which arrive in a light-protective violet glass atomizer bottle in 5g, 10g or 15g sizes.
Choosing a fragrance is a highly personal matter! We recommend trying a small sample before committing to a full-sized perfume.
Each glass roll-on bottle has a glass roller-ball and contains 5 grams or 10 grams of botanical fragrance.
Each glass twist-top pot contains 5g solid perfume balm in a local beeswax base.
Our botanical perfumes arrive carefully packaged in a cotton drawstring tassel bag with a beautiful letterpress tag and a card describing the fragrance notes of your chosen scent.
